This song was originally recorded by Bruce Springsteen for "Nebraska" and was then famously covered by The Band. What's funny about this song is that both versions are SO GOOD that it doesn't really need any more version and yet LITERALLY EVERYONE covers this song. For my part: I grew up hearing Springsteen as my mom would clean and sing along so the Boss has always had a very special place in my heart. This song is my favorite by him, and while I feel like I could pick a less obvious choice like Adam Raised a Cain or Rosalita, you don't get to decide what your favorite things are, they just inherit that spot through some complex alchemy I don't understand.

Also, my girlfriend (who, to the best of my knowledge, was never exposed to Springsteen beyond the radio hits) really wanted me to record this song, so here you have it.
